Revival

2 Chronicles 7:14 (New International Version)
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
While studying the word, I have been drawn to prayer and revival. We as Christan's are hungry and crying out for revival. But are we doing what is needed.
It says , If "who"my people, who are called by my name( believers) , will humble themselves.
How do we humble ourselves. The word humble means to bend the knee. Then it tells us to pray( to pray is to set selfish desires aside) "Not my will, but thy will be done" (Luke 22:42 ).And seek my face,"to seek" would suggest a continual, persistent pursuit of Gods and seek his face, and pray! When we do that we will turn from our wicked ways and will be forgiven.
I tell you I see something stirring over at One Student ministries. The spirit is moving. Now if we can encourage the kids to start humbling themselves and pray we will see revival. God desires it and so do I.
So, lets get on our knees and seek his face! His will is for revival. Thank you Lord

Created by God

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." Genesis 1:27NIV
I have been thinking a lot about this new year that we have before us. What does God want me to do, where is he bringing me? As a woman; I am created in his own image. So, what does that mean? For starters, I have imagination, intellect, and most importantly a soul. Even more important God made me so that I would have an ongoing relationship with him. I need him, and he has promised to always be there for me.
As I prayed God what is it you would have of me? My thoughts keep going to young men and women who don't feel that anyone loves them. Then I realized I need to go and let them know that they are loved, that 'God loves them'. My heart is reaching to young women who in this society has been taught that they are not worthy or loved. It saddens me to see that they don't rise to were God wants them to be. That they are a loved! I pray that God shows me the way and allows me to do this. I know through prayers and his word, that God will direct me.
Psalm 139:14 says, 'I am fearfully and wonderfully made.' Lord let me be a vessel that you use to teach young men and women that you purposely created them, and love them perfectly. That they need to stand up and be the young people he has called them to be.

I am a Kept woman?

Some one sent me this in a email and I love it thought I would share it with you.
I am a 'Kept' Woman
You see, there were a few times when I thought I would lose my mind,
But God kept me sane (Isa. 26.3)
There were times when I thought I could go no longer,
But the LORD kept me moving ( Gen 28.15)
At times, I've wanted to lash out at those whom I felt had done me wrong,
But the LORD kept my mouth shut...(Psa. 13)
Sometimes, I think the money just isn't enough,
But GOD has helped me to keep the lights on, the water on, the car paid, the house paid,
etc..., (Matt. 6:25-34)
When I thought I would fall, HE kept me up.
When I thought I was weak, HE kept me strong! (1 Peter 5:7, Matt. 11:28-30)
I could go on and on and on, but I'm sure you hear me!
I'm blessed to be 'kept'
Do you know a 'kept' women?
If so pass it on to her to let her know she is 'Kept'
I'm 'Kept' by the Love and Grace of God

youth leader!!!

This is one of my most favorite ministries I have worked in. I have been in it since 1998 and I still love it today. Now that my kids are grown and no longer in youth I still enjoy it. I have seen my family grow, even if only in my heart. They are not my biological children but I have adopted many. I will not name them in case I forget one name I love them all as my own. It is a full time ministry, you never know when you will be needed, loved on, going on a outing or just listening etc.... I am just the youth leader under the leadership of my good friends Bishop & Mrs Joshua Martin. Which I love!! Along with this comes surprises, like what I found in my front yard at 12.00 am. I know it is in good fun! Those who did this just remember pay backs! All of those who I have worked with I love you all.
I will post pictures later they are not uploading at this time

BEING THANKFUL!!!!

Last night at the ladies dinner "Thankmas" I had such a wonderful time! Melanie spoke and her words got me to thanking. She spoke on giving thanks for even the little things. Like your cup of coffee in the morning, sticky notes etc.......

"In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" 1 Thessalonians 5:18

I started thinking what was I thankful for. First thing that came to my mind was my family, but i knew she was speaking of even smaller things. Like having a laundry room! So I started thinking, even though I am thankful for my cup of coffee there was more.
I know every morning on my drive to work I enjoy the sunrise, and I often have said, Lord thank you for a beautiful start of my day! The sunrise has always been special to me. When I was a little girl my dad would tell me,"Get up sweety, the sun cant rise until you do." For the longest time I believed that the sun would not come up unless I got up. One morning when I was looking at the beautiful sunrise before me, I realized that my heavenly father was saying the same thing. Only his words were I made this sunrise just for you! Boy! was the rest of my day good.
Thanks Melanie for making me think on these things. Thanks Dad for letting me see how loved I am by you and by my heavenly Daddy.

I have been thinking about this election and our new President Elect. Where I was not happy about Mr. Obama winning I knew that all of this is in Gods hands and planning.

"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God." Romans 13:1

He has been placed in leadership and authority by God. Now we are to pray for him . I am praying for Mr Obama and for America now is the time that Believers need to get on there knees and pray.

God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews13:5
I have all my life leaned on this scripture. It is so true, no matter what happens or who is elected President of the United States of America. God is still there and in control.

I love you Lord Jesus, and I thank you for loving me

being thankful

I can't believe it already is November! We are coming into my favorite time of year. It starts off with Thanksgiving and follows all the way through the new year. It is a time to be thankful for all the Lord has supplied and a time to be grateful for Jesus birth and ressurection. Lets not forget why we are blessed. Keep God in the equation and we can walk through all things. Dont forget I dont only love you but I like you.
